Patriotic Scrapbook Layout
Presented by Nancy Keithley
1. Cut two three inch strips from the criss cross design in the Presto Patterns paper.
2. Use a sponge wedge (I cut mine into 6ths) and Night of Navy ink and color the paper to get a White on Navy resist.
3. Cut to two inch strips from the striped pattern from the Bride Specialty(retired) paper.
4. Use another sponge wedge to ink Real Red onto the striped pattern.
5. Punch out 10-12 small stars (punch now retired) from Whisper White, leaving at least an inch and a half space between them. Then, go back and punch with the Large Star so you have a star-shaped hole in a star
6. Using a sponge, dauber or foam brush, apply shimmer paint to the swirl in Priceless and stamp on Night of Navy cardstock. Punch out ‘rockets’ using the Arrow Punch, then trim off the flanges to make the sides straight
7. Adhere borders and rockets – then stamp more swirls on the paper with the shimmer paint to simulate skyrockets in flight.
8. Add photos – mine are rather randomly applied in a very loose sketch (see picture).
