It's a HOLIDAY BLOG HOP!

Welcome to the first ever VC Rocks Holiday Blog Hop!  We usually have most of our fun during the late spring and summer months, with a brief online get together in December just to catch up with one another.

But this year we're adding in a bit of excitement for everyone by having a BLOG HOP!  And you don't actually have to "hop" from blog to blog.  All you have to do is click on one of the pictures in the link list below and you'll be whisked away to a fun Holiday Blog Post!  Just don't forget to press your browser's back button to return here to check out the rest of the blogs.

This blog post will be live for you to link to posts throughout December 14.  Of course everyone will be able to view all our wonderful projects for the rest of the season -  so be sure to tell your friends about us if they missed us on the first weekend of the hop.

Our Last Blog Hop of the Year!

Can you believe that the summer of 2014 is almost at an end!?  Just a few more days, then the VC Rocks annual activities will be a wonderfully pleasant memory.

VC's July Blog Hop - Fun Folds and 3-D Projects!

It's time once again for the monthly VC Rocks Blog Hop!  And we have a really good one this month - well, as we always do!

To begin, we'd like to share the project of Ria Blackwell.  

"I LOVE fancy fold cards!  That makes this blog hop, my first ever blog hop, that much more fun.  This card is a variation of the gate fold, which is such a versatile fold.  This card was a quick and simple card but you can use this fold and make more complex cards as well."

• Cut an 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock and score on the long side at 3-1/2" and 9"

• Cut a 1-3/4" x 4" piece of All Abloom DSP and a 3-1/4" x 4" piece of Strawberry Slush card stock.  Emboss the Strawberry Slush piece with the Sale-a-bration embossing folder Vines

• Cut a 3" x 3-1/2" piece of Pistachio Pudding Card stock and a 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

This project uses the Regarding Dahlias floral stamp with Strawberry Slush ink and the Hello, You saying from the same set with Mellow Moss ink

VC's June Blog Hop - Stampin' Up! Punches and Sizzix Dies!

It's time once again for the monthly VC Rocks Blog Hop!  And we have a really good one this month - well, as we always do!

Our theme for the June 2014 Blog Hop is "Rock Your Creativity with Stampin' Up! Punches or Sizzix Dies."  Of course, "Sizzix Dies," means anything Sizzix that cuts into paper or cardstock - so framelits, thinlits and all kinds of dies!  You'll see a fun variety of projects from our talented VC Rocks membership and you'll love all the ideas that you'll get!

We have a member of our group who asked that her project be displayed on this VC Rocks Blog post!  All of our members have this option, and I'm sure we'll have more taking advantage of this as the summer goes on.

June Reister made this wreath using the spiral flower die. The paper leaves are hand cut. There are also some scallop punches behind a couple of the flowers. June reports that this was really a fun and easy project. 

Materials she used included: wreath form; floral tape; felt and cardstock for flowers; ribbon to hang the wreath; and glue gun. She suggests some fun thing to try: cut spiral flower lengthwise down the center to make 2 spirals; make a smaller rose and a flatter flower; cut spiral with fringe scissors around the edge to make the fringed flower on the left side

VC Rocks Blog Hop - May 2014!

Welcome to the first of the four blog hops the VC Rocks Stampin' Up! group will be hosting during the Summer of 2014.

Our theme for our May Blog Hop is Rock your Creativity with Stampin' Up! Tools or Embellishments.  Stampin' Up! has so many tools and embellishments that this blog hop certainly won't cover them all.  But we're going to give it a good try!
