Fabulous Florets Card

SUPPLIES:  Fabulous Florets and Curly Cute stamp sets.  VersaMark pad.  Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, and Basic Black cardstock.  Beyond the Garden DSP.  Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, and Black embossing powders.  Modern Label Punch, Basic Black 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals.

1.  Cut Wild Wasabi cardstock to 4-1/4" x 11".  Fold in half.

2.  Stamp leaves onto Whisper White cardstock with VersaMark and emboss with Wild Wasabi emboss powder.  Cut Whisper White cardstock to 4-1/8" x 1-7/8".

3.  Layer onto Melon Mambo cardstock cut to 2-1/8" x 4-3/8".

4.  Layer onto Basic Black cardstock cut to 2-1/4" x 4-1/2".

5.  Cut approximately 7" length of Basic Black ribbon and tie around the bottom half.

6.  Stamp solid flower onto Whisper White cardstock with VersaMark and emboss with Melon Mambo emboss powder.  Cut out flower.

7.  Stamp line flower onto Melon Mambo cardstock with VersaMark and emboss with Black emboss powder.  Cut out flower.

8.  Attach both flowers to leaves with dimensionals.

9.  Cut a piece of Beyond the Garden DSP to 4-1/4" x 2".  Layer onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock cut to 4-1/4" x 2-1/8".  Attach to lower edge of card about 1/4" up from the bottom edge.

10.  Attach leaves/flower layers onto card on left side about 1/4" from left edge.

11.  Stamp "Thank You" from Curly Cute onto Whisper White cardstock and emboss with Black emboss powder.  Punch out with the Modern Label Punch.

12.  Punch out two shapes with the Modern Label Punch from Melon Mambo.  Cut one in half lengthwise and one in half cross-wise.  Attach to back of white piece as shown in picture.  Add to upper right card front with dimensionals.

Instructions:



Cut all paper to size according to material list. Fold Pretty in Pink Cardstock in half for base of card.  Trim ½" off the front of the card then punch the bottom edge using the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Punch 6 butterflies using the butterfly punch.  Using the snail adhesive glue three of the butterflies onto the 4 ¾ x 3 Rose Red cardstock.  Then run this piece through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  Glue the 5 x 1 ¼ Springtime Vintage DSP to the 5 ¼ x 1 ½ Rose Red Cardstock.  Run this piece through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  Glue the 5 x 3 ¾ whisper white cardstock on the inside of the card.  Then glue the embossed 5 ¼ x 1 ½ Rose Red and Springtime Vintage DSP at the top of the whisper white cardstock on the inside of the card.

To complete the front of the card, glue the 5 x 3 ¼ Whisper White to the card base, then glue the embossed Red Rose cardstock with the butterflies to the Whisper White.  Bend the wings of the other three butterflies and glue them to the front of the card using a glue dot in the center.  Stamp the butterfly antenna and glue to the center of the butterflies.  Tie a double bow with the Old Olive ribbon and place on the corner of the card.  Send the card for any occasion.

M&T Box Kite Card

Supplies:

Cardstock cut 1 Tangerine Tango for back of card 4 ¼ x 5 ½, score this piece in half at 2  1/8

Cardstock for front cut 2 Tangerine Tango at 4 ¾ x 1 ½, Score each piece at ¼ from each end, and

also score each front piece in the center at 2 3/8

Stamps, sample used Flower Fest

Ink, sample used Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, an Eary Espresso

½ wide strips of window sheet

Snail adhesive

Directions:

Decorate front pieces as desired. In the sample I used Paisley Petals designer paper cut 4 ¼ x ¾ and then scored in half. Adhered the designer paper to the front pieces.

Attach the front pieces to the back by adhering the ¼ tabs on the front pieces to the back piece at both the top and bottom of the box kite.

On scrap cardstock stamp images and cut out.

Adhere window strip to back of stamped images then adhere other end to the back top of the box kite.

Card will fold flat to mail

M&T Just Believe

Supplies:  Lattice die, thin cardboard pieces, Beautiful Wings embosslits, White cardstock, Tempting Turquoise cardstock, Night of Navy cardstock, Tempting Turquoise marker and ink pad, Old olive marker, Just Believe stamp set, mini glue dots, Tombo mono multi glue and snail.

1.  First, I made a home-made "embossing folder". (It might not show up too well in the scan).  I ran the lattice die through the Big Shot using a thin cardboard piece. I did this 3 times, and then glued them stacked onto another piece. (The next time I might try it with 2 because my cardstock cracked a little bit.) I glued them together with the Tombo. Make sure this is completely dry, probably over-night. I actually had a piece of copy paper that I put next to it because it was still a bit tacky after several hours.

2. I colored the Just Believe stamp with the markers and stamped it on both sides of the card front (folded and slightly smaller than A2 for layering). Then I ran it through the Big Shot using my home-made "embossing folder".  I had to put the "folder" behind the card front to get the correct embossing.

3. I sponged the edges of the card front and glued it on to an A2 sized single piece of turquoise cardstock. I added the butterflies with mini glue dots. Then I stamped and cut out the sentiment piece.

M&T Hair Clip

Tombo glue
Toothpicks
Hot glue gun

Directions

1. Cut out one layer of fabric and one layer of card stock of all flower parts with the fun flowers due ( the card stock gives it strength)
2. Layer the flower parts starting with card-stock then fabric. (card-stock, fabric, card-stock).
3. Glue all layers together
4. Pull your ribbon thru the button and tie
5. Wrap the ribbon around the toothpick and tape it
6. Add the fabric stiffener and let dry
7.  Remove the toothpick and use Tombo to glue the button to the flower
8. Fill up the bezel on the hair pin with hot glue, hold for a couple of mins then let dry

M&T Open Sea

Stamps:  The Open Sea
Paper:  Cardstock – Not Quite Navy and Whisper White
Ink:  Classic – Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, and Not Quite Navy
Tools & Accessories:  SNAIL, trimmer
Instructions:

1. Fold 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Not Quite Navy CS in half for base card and put aside. 2.     2. Cut Whisper White CS to measure 5-1/4" x 4".

3.    Stamp the WW CS with Early Espresso and Baja Breeze using the "The Open Sea" stamp set to create a collage.

4.    Tear the bottom edge ever so slightly and distress the edge with Baja Breeze.

5.    Cut Not Quite Navy CS to measure 4-1/4 x 3-1/2". Adhere with SNAIL to the collage piece at a slight upward angle.

6.    Cut Whisper White card stock to measure 4 x 3 ¼".

7.    Stamp the ship using Not Quite Navy and lightly buff the background with a combination of Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy to soften the look.

8.    Cut this piece into 4 – 1" panels and adhere with SNAIL spaced equally onto the Not Quite Navy card stock. 

9.    Stamp a sentiment inside the card if you wish or handwrite a note.

This is a great masculine card for any occasion.

M&T: Style Beautiful

To open card, slide ribbon slightly to left.   Supplies: Style Beautiful stamp set. So Saffron, Rose Red, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla cardstock. So Saffron, Early Espresso and Versamark Ink. Clear embossing powder, twostep bird punch, 1-1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon, linen thread and trinket keys. 1. Cut cardstock to 4-1/4"x 11", then score at 1-1/2" and 7". 2. Stamp large flourish image onto Very Vanilla cardstock (4"x2-1/2") with So Saffron classic ink. Then, stamp sentiment with Early Espresso classic ink. 3. Layer stamped Very Vanilla cardstock onto Early Espresso cardstock (4-1/4"x2-3/4"), then onto Rose Red cardstock (4-1/2"x2-7/8"). 4. Punch branch from scrap of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and glue to front of panel. 5. Punch bird from scrap of Rose Red cardstock, stamp smaller flourish on bird's body with Versamark ink, then emboss with clear embossing powder; glue to front of panel. 6. With Early Espresso classic ink, stamp smallest flourish on Very Vanilla cardstock (5- 1/4"x4") in bottom-right corner and top-left corner; then adhere to inside of card with shortest fold on the left. 7. Close card. Center layered panel and adhere on right gate-fold only. With So Saffron classic ink, stamp smallest flourish in each corner of card front. 8. Tie 1-1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon in a knot around left side of card, covering gate opening. 9. Tie linen thread around knot of ribbon, then attach trinket key. 10.

M&T: Sail Away

Daffodil delight, more mustard, tangerine tango, and real red classic ink for the sky Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, and Pacific Point for water. Versa mark, black emboss powder, emboss buddy, brayer, big shot, top note die. 3/4" circle punch & curly lable punch I did use retired ribbon and a retired stamp set but you can find current ribbon and stamp sets to use instead.

1. Cut out the top note using the big shot in whisper white

2. Using the embossing buddy all over the top not then stamp your image in versa mark and sprinkle black emboss powder all over and then finally use your heat tool to set it

3. Take a spare piece of paper and put it over the bottom of the sailboat, I tore mine to resemble water, then run your brayer in the Daffodil Delight and brayer, starting off the page, over the piece of paper and some on the top note. I go back and forth a couple of times.

4. Punch a 3/4" circle out of the sticky part of a post it note and place that on the top note, this will be your sun, keep the negative image because we will use that later.

5. Take your brayer and run it through the more mustard then run it on the top note covering some of the daffodil delight. Do this again and again going from lightest to darkest colors of ink.

6. Take your 3/4" sun off and take the negative image and put it over where your sun was. Take a sponge and sponge daffodil delight so it becomes a sun. Take your tangerine tango and sponge just the outer edges of the sun.

7. Repeat with the blues to create the water. Always starting from lightest to darkest inks.

M&T: Gift Card Holder

Gift Card holder by Shirley Northey... I needed to make some gift card holders and what grads don't like Hershey bars??


Grad Gift Card/Candy Bar Holder

Supplies:  6x6 black c/s; 6x1¼ white c/s; black scrap and white scrap of c/s; 1¾ circle punch, Extra Large Scallop Circle Punch; Sticky Tape, Versamark, black ink, black embossing powder, heat tool, Dimensionals, scorer, cutter

1 - Score two sides (across from each other) of the 6" x 6" piece of Basic Black Cardstock at 1 5/8" and 1 7/8". Stamp Grad image with Versamark and add Clear Embossing Powder over the entire image, remove excess, and set with the Heat Tool. Go over the creases on the Basic Black Cardstock with the Bone Folder. In order to avoid being burnt, use a clothes pin to hold the cardstock while you are heat embossing.
2 - Use the 1" Circle Punch to create a half circle on upper section of the front of the slider. Take your piece of Basic Black Cardstock and wrap it around the Hershey's Chocolate Bar. Take a 6" piece of Sticky Strip and place it at the edge of one of the flaps. Peel the red film and attach the flaps.
3 - Take your Chocolate Bar out of the slider and wrap a 25" piece of Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon around the candy bar from the bottom to the top. Make sure both ends of the ribbon meet at the top and tie in a bow.
4 - Stamp stars in black all over the white c/s strip - wrap around the candy bar/gift holder.  Stamp the "G" image on white scrap piece of c/s in versa mark then emboss with black embossing powder.  Punch extra large scallop punch with black c/s scrap.  Highlight with white gel pen then attach to the "belly band" with dimensionals.   The "belly band" can be attached or not, it's up to you since it does not serve a purpose as a "belly band", I just like saying "belly band" …. lol  
5 - Add a little note to the candy bar along with the gift card and attach to the candy bar inside.  I used a Taco Bell gift card for this one because it goes to a neat guy whose family joins us at Taco Bell quite often (my fave fast food place!!)

Of course, you can also use a wheel instead of the Grad stamp; or make it for a different occasion - in your color choices ...

M&T: Baby Bundle

Directions:

Cut Tempting Turquoise Cardstock 4.25 X 11".  Score at 1.5 and 5.5".  Use Corner Rounder to round top corners.  Cut two pieces of BuildaBear Workshop Pawsitively Prints II DSP:  1.25 X 4" for the flap and 3 X 4" for under the flap and attach to card.  Stamp Buggy from Baby Bundle stamp set in Basic Black on Whisper White cardstock and then stamp the baby's head in the carriage also in Basic Black.  Color with Blush Blossom, Tempting Turquoise, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz Markers as desired.  Punch with 2.5" Circle punch.  Cut 3" circle using Big Shot Die and use Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder to add texture.  Attach two circles together and attach to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Tie Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding around card to close.  For inside of card:  round top corners of Poppy Parade(4 X 5.25") and Whisper White Cardstock
(3.75 X 5").  Stamp across top and bottom of Whisper White piece with other stamps from Baby Bundle using markers to color stamps.

Fold your 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Very Vanilla card stock in half for your card base.

Using your makers, add color to the flower stamp and stamp the image on your 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" Very Vanilla piece. Layer this onto your Cherry Cobbler card stock, add dimensionals to the back and attach to the center of your card base.


On the inside, stamp your sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink. Add Always Artichoke ink to your flower stamp and stamp off on scrap paper before stamping your image over the sentiment.

1. Adhere the two pieces of designer series paper to the card base as seen in the photo using snail adhesive.

2. On the 2 x 2 1/2" Very Vanilla, stamp your sentiment at the top with Soft Suede ink; then stamp 3 flowers in Soft Suede ink. Use the "filler" stamp for the same flower and stamp to fill in each of the three flowers using Baja Breeze ink.

3. Attach the Very Vanilla to the Baja Breeze using snail adhesive; then add dimensionals to the back of the Baja Breeze and add to your card.

4. Add one of each size of the basic pearls to the bottom right corner of the card as shown in the photo.

Shadow Box Card

Shadow Box Card

I love to make these and everyone seems to enjoy getting them, guess because they are different ....  and it folds flat for mailing!

Supplies:
Cut 1: background (white, vanilla) - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Cut 1: front piece - 5 1/4" x 5 1/2 "
scraps
Stamps, sticky tape, embellishments

Score larger piece on the 5 1/4" side at 1/2" and 1" on both sides.  Cut oval out of center - can be as big or small as you want, but mine has 3/4" on top and bottom and centered (1 3/8" on each side from the 1" score line.  I used the coluzzle but you can use whatever you want (my oval cut-out is about 3 7/8" x 2 3/8". 

Stamp the background as desired and stamp some extra pieces to cut out and attach to front.

For the flower one, I used Melon Mambo, Marina Mist and Vanilla C/S, Inspired by Nature, Oval All  and Itty Bitty Bits stamp sets, and Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, and Peach Parfait inks.
For the train card, I used Wild Wasabi and Vanilla C/S, Choo Choo, Teddy and Train and God's Blessings stamp sets, Right on Track wheel and Red, Wild Wasabi and Pacific Point ink.
The other sample uses the old Unfrogettable set - still love that set!!  I made it a while ago but it is still my fave shadow box card - maybe because it was my first one.

Add embellishments as desired - I used the movable eyes and diamond dust after coloring the images. 

Fold on scored lines and attach outside 1/2" piece to back piece with sticky tape - looks like a shadow box!!  I've seen this card called other names but SCS has a tutorial by Dawn Griffith under Shadow Box Cards.
