Weekly Challenge 11 - July 10 to 16

Another challenge from Patrice...

This one is a Masculine Challenge. So let's hear it for the boys! If It is a card then make it as if a guy was giving it to a guy. The same goes for scrapbook page You are all free to create a masculine card or scrapbook page of your choice. However, no mushy sentiments, no girley colors or embellishments, that means NO BOWS! Think Hardware, Tools, Animals, BBQ, Cars, Boats, Trains...) This card or Scrapbook page must have a masculine sentiment but not mushy. To make this challenge a bit more interesting how about making your project that includes a fancy fold.

Weekly Challenge 10 - July 3 to 9

This week the Jack Sparrow loving Shari Dudek from Michigan has another Color Challenge for you.

Make a card or 3D item that is predominantly black and white.  Include a single piece (main image, die, punch, etc). that is brightly colored and really POPS!

Extra Challenge:  Make a scrapbook page with the above conditions, but include a B&W photo.  You can add color to ONE THING in the photo that matches your bright color.

Weekly Challenge 09 - Jun 26 to Jul2

This week's challenge is presented by Patrice Herrera from California. Patrice is the Manager of All Things Classroom - AKA “California Girl” is our Rookie Moderator and our 2010 Bingo Winner & Gold Medalist.


Challenge One (Easy): Create a Clean and Simple (CAS) Card or Scrapbook page with a Flower, Animal or Person in it. Using Poppy Parade, Concord Crush and Peach Parfait (Please note! You can use a combination of SU colors that are close to those colors selected just in case you do not have those exact colors. Just have fun with the challenge and create something wonderful). It is also OK to add one Neutral color if needed.
 
Challenge Two: To make things a little more interesting and a bit more difficult you should add movement to the Card or Scrapbook page!

Weekly Challenge 08- June 19-25

The weekly Moderator Challenge #08 is brought to you by Loni Holt in Texas.   Loni is a knitter extraordinairre and cycles many miles for charity including the National MS Society, the American Diabetes Association, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and the Make a Wish Foundation of North Texas.    She is also the coordinator for the VC Rocks Blog, VC Rocks Blog Hop,and Make and Take submissions.  Since today, June 19, is Loni's birthday... your challenge is quite simple (Current or retired product is allowed)

Challenge 8.1~ Using real paper,stamps, ink:  Create a BIRTHDAY themed card using any of the BRIGHTS collection; or any of the current or upcoming InColor collection;  You may also include Whisper White, Very Vanilla, or Basic Black in your creation.   Minimum 3 layers and at least 1 embellishment.

Challenge 8.2~ Using real paper,stamps,ink and/or My Digital Studio: Create a BIRTHDAY themed scrapbook page using any of the BRIGHTS collection any current or upcoming InColor; you may include Whisper White, Very Vanilla, or Basic Black also in your creation.  Your scrapbook page MUST include at least 1 photo, a title, and journaling.

Weekly Challenge 07 - June 12-18

This week's Moderator challenge is presented by Mary Nunaley (Tennessee)- Tech coordinator- lover of all things Mac and most PC- the digital social butterfly, geeky geek and tennis mom and wannabe stamper. 

 

Challenge 1 (easy) Create a card with only 1 layer and 1 central stamp (plus 1 sentiment) and only 1 embellishment 

Challenge 2 (more difficult) Create a card using only one color tone (i.e. shades of blue, shades of green), 1 central stamp, 1 sentiment, and one embellishment 

Challenge 3 (I've lost my mind) Create a scrapbook page using the same rules as challenge 2 but you can only have one person on the page

When you complete your challenge card upload it to the folder found in the Photo Section named

Weekly Challenge 06 - June 5 to 11

This week's challenge is presented by Carolyn Sharkas (Florida) – Manager of the “SWEET” floor of the VC Grand Hotel.   AKA “ Book ‘em Dano” is a bird lover, photographer, and reigning Make and Take Queen.

As a lot of you know, I love birds. Not in my house, but out in the tree, sky, birdbath, jungle, water, whatever. My challenge to you is to make a   card or scrapbook page, or even a 3D item, if you choose, with a bird as the main focus. Just let your imagination FLY. This is a pretty easy challenge, but try to be very creative with it. The winner  of my challenge will receive a pack of their choice of Stampin' Up! bling, either pearls or rhinestones, and maybe I'll add a little something else, if I really like the projects everyone posts. Now, what are you waiting for,

Weekly Challenge 05 - May 29-June 4

From Debbie Peterson in Washington - Swap Manager for all NON-CARD swaps and Manager of the Welcome Team, Scrapbooker extraordinaire. She is very involved in Scouting, both Boy & Girl Scouts with her now high school children. She loves sewing and all types of crafts, dogs, reading, and the Northwest

Easy Challenge:

Make a card using 3 colors from the Regals collection and one brown from the neutrals. You must also use two embellishments. Stamps must be in the current catalog.

A Step harder Challenge:
Make a scrapbook page following the above requirements PLUS you must include journaling, title, and pictures. I would say the scrap page needs to be 12 x 12 but I will be nice and let those of you who don’t scrap that size a break.

Weekly Challenge 04 - May 22-28

This week's challenge is by Terry Kemmitz (Montana)  – Manager of the “SPICY” floor of the VC Grand Hotel & Tasty Tuesday Coordinator.  A Texas Bred, Cali Born Stamper living in the beautiful state of Montana. Loves spending time with family and friends, both near and far. Enjoys reading, listening to music, watching a good movie and/or TV show. 

Create an 8x8 Scrapbook page using a favorite photo of YOU ... any age. You can use any colors, any embellishments. MDS is okay too. Please try to use as much Stampin' Up product as you can! You have until Saturday 5/28th to post your photos. Thanks! Enjoy!

Weekly challenges posted by the leadership team between May 1 and June 30.
To earn participation points: VC member mustpost the completed project for the challenge in the assigned photo folder by the time deadline. Projects sent only to the group via email will not be counted for participation points. Completing TWO challenges earns ONE participation point. Points earned will be tallied by the coordinator and sent to Ellen.

Moderator Challenge 03: May 15-21

Moderator Challenge Three from Big E! (oh, it makes me happy that this rhymes)

Since our recent poll shows that as a group we reach for the Subtle Collection less often….

I challenge you to make:

A card OR layout using 2 colors from the Subtle Collection AND my favorite SU color, Early Espresso (or Chocolate Chip if you drank all your espresso)

You can use white, vanilla and more colors from the Subtle Collection if you wish but no OTHER colors - ONLY white, vanilla, and the must have expresso and 2 or more SUBTLES.

NO MDS ON THIS CHALLENGE - REAL PAPER REQUIRED!

You can use retired or current product - this is a COLOR challenge.

The winner will be MY PERSONAL FAVORITE and will receive SU Rhinestones (ohhhh, shiny, pretty!) And if I can't decide I'll get kiddo to help me choose.

Projects must be uploaded to the Challenge # 03 folder by midnight Saturday May 21.

Happy Mother's Day, ladies!

This week, I have a Color Challenge for you.  You may make a card, scrapbook page, or 3D project.

Here are your main colors:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Certainly Celery, BajaBreeze.  You must use ALL FOUR colors.  You may also use a bit of Whisper White or Very Vanilla, of course.  You have until Saturday, May 14th to finish this challenge!

And in case you were curious, no, I did not get this color combo from a pair of my panties.  ;o)

Moderator Challenge Week May 1-7

This Week's Moderator challenge is from Loni Holt  – In Texas – Manager of all the Blog Hops and coordinator of make and takes postings.  Rides endless miles on her bicycle for charity and is an awesome knitter too.   Loni is riding Bike MS DFW 2-day from Frisco to Fort Worth this weekend.  She wants your project to feature at least 2 circles since she is riding on 2 circles (wheels) this weekend and her favorite color Real Red –or- Cherry Cobbler.   You may use real paper/ink/stamps –or- you may create using MDS.  Stampin’ Up! Only, current or retired permitted.  

Challenge #1 – Card Challenge

Your project must have

* At least 2 CIRCLES (stamped, punched, buttons, etc. whatever size you choose and however you want to make 2 circles)

* Loni’s favorite color Real Red or the color of her bike – Cherry Cobbler

* Congratulations theme

Challenge #2 – Scrapbooking Challenge

* Scrapbook page, any size

* Must have at least At least 2 CIRCLES (stamped, punched, buttons, etc. whatever size you choose and however you want to make 2 circles)

* Must have Loni’s favorite color Real Red or the color of her bike – Cherry Cobbler.

* Any theme

* Must have at least 1 picture

* Must have a title

* Must have journaling.
