Golf Bag Card

A 2010 Make & Take presented by Elizabeth Kratzer (made at a class taught by my upline demo, Janet Stockmann)

Supplies:

Creamy Caramel cardstock, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" for card base, 3" x 1 3/4" for the golf bag, scraps for other punches

Glorious Green cardstock, 5 1/4" x 4"

Flock Together DSP, 5" x 3 3/4"

Close to Cocoa cardstock, scraps for punched bag

Gable Green scrap for punched bag

Going Gray, 1/8" strips for golf clubs

Whisper White, scrap for ball  (use embossing folder before punching to make the ball)

Accessories: gold brad, 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, Big Shot, Dots embossing folder

Inks if you desire, to sponge the pieces.

Assembling golf bag:

*TIP* Using textured paper &/or sponging all pieces with its own ink color beforehand gives the golf bag more of a 3D look.

1.  Punch & sponge pieces and amounts of cardstock as shown on the Golf Bag Instruction Sheet.

2.  Using the 3" x 1 3/4" piece for the body of the bag, attach the layered ovals for the top & bottom of bag.

3.  Cut the cocoa and green word window punches to form pocket (as shown on the card).  Put gold brad through top of pocket & adhere to golf bag.

4.  Cut the gray 1/2" circle & 3/4" circle punches pieces in half for top of golf clubs.  Also cut off about one third of gray word window punch for the third golf club.  Adhere those to the ends of the 1/8" strips to make the golf clubs.  Be sure to trim the ends of the clubs before attaching to the top of the bag, to make it appear that they are inside the bag.

5.  Fold ribbon and adhere to backside of the bag for the strap/handle.

Assembling the card:

1.  Fold caramel cardstock for base.  Adhere green cardstock as a layer.  

2.  Run the DSP through a crimper (if you want to) to make it look more like grass, then flatten a little to adhere it to the green layer.

3.  Using the Big Shot and folder, emboss the white scrap piece of cardstock with dots.  Punch it with 3/4" circle punch to make the golf ball. Sponge with going gray ink.

4.  Punch a horizontal slot out of cocoa cardstock and adhere it to the back of the golf ball for a tee.  Use a dimensional to attach to the front of the card.

5.  Before adhering bag and ball, move around on card front for placement.  Adhere bag with snail.  I was afraid I would lose the golf clubs, so I put snail on the back of each club.
