Circle Circus

A 2010 Make & Take from Welcome Back Colors swap presented by Shari Dudek.

MATERIALS:

Stamps: Circle Circus, Teeny Tiny Wishes

CS: Very Vanilla, Pacific Point, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede

Ink: Pacific Point, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Baja Breeze

Other: Paper Trimmer, Gold Brad, Hemp Twine, Stampin' Dimensional, SNAIL, Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plates - small dots (but the new Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder would be much better! Didn't have it yet when I made this); Circle Punches: 1 3/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/4", 1", 3/4", 1/16". Oval Punches: Sm & Lg



DIRECTIONS:

Card base made with Sahara Sand.

1. Trim one piece of VVanilla CS to 4" x 3 1/4". Adhere to bottom of card base with border showing evenly around bottom and sides.

2. Trim Pacific Point CS to 4" x 1 1/2"

3. Run thru Big Shot using Polka Dot plate or embossing folder

4. Adhere to top of card. You should have an equal border around the edges and between this piece and the VVanilla at the bottom.

5. Randomly stamp another piece of VVCS with Circle Circus (see second photo)

6. Punch three 1" circles and one small oval from this stamped piece

7. Punch remaining circle and ovals from Soft Suede, Pacific Point, and Baja Breeze.

8. Build flowers and greeting piece. Stamp a greeting on small oval in Pacific Point.

9. Cut three 4 1/4" x 1/4" strips of Sahara Sand. Leave one as is. Trim the other two to 3" long, and 2" long. These are your stems.

10. Cut a 1 3/4" circle from Sahara Sand. Using the 1" circle punch, trim three leaves from around the edges.

11. Assemble stems, leaves and add flowers.

12. Assemble greeting piece with greeting to the right. Punch left with 1/16" hand held punch. Add brad and hemp twine. Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensional.



TIP: Insert brad in the hole, but only open prongs partway so it's loose. Tie hemp around brad just under the head. Then fully open and flatten prongs to hold the twine tightly.
